Shingle Roof Replacement in Suffolk

This house was a little more than just a shingle roof replacement. The sun room in the back had a metal panel roof originally installed, but the general contractor had the roofing company use liquid nail to adhere shingles to it. This caused there to be a rise in the shingles at each rib where the metal panels connected. Because the homeowners were selling their house and the perspective buyers wanted an inspection, the house inspector thought the raise spots were cause by wood buckling. We removed the shingles, scraped the liquid nail off, and installed SBS modified cap sheet membrane.

TPO Flat Roof Replacement in Virginia Beach

This is a canopy roof at the entrance of Atlantic Shores Christian School. The seams would leak every time it rained, which defeated the purpose of the roof being there in the first place. We installed a TPO membrane roof system, custom gutters and downspouts, and used strips of TPO heat welded to the roof to secure the cables and wires to avoid penetrating the roof further.

This is an EPDM rubber roof in Chesapeake that was sliced open by either a worker or falling debris. It caused a leak inside a department store until we located and repaired the problem.

Commercial TPO Flat Roof Repair – Norfolk

On this TPO flat roof in Norfolk, mechanical workers had dragged something across the roof causing many punctures and cuts, which in turn caused water to pour into the grocery store below. Although it had been raining throughout the morning, and we only had a little bit of time before the next rain was supposed to hit, we hurried to repair the roof. We located all twelve slices in the membrane and patched them just half an hour before the next storm rolled through.

Residential Shingle Roof Repair – Bad Wood

When step flashing is installed incorrectly, or not installed at all such as at this house in Virginia Beach, leaks can occur that can cause the wood decking to rot. This calls for all the shingles to be removed, the bad wood to be cut out and replaced, and the shingles to be re-installed properly with step flashing.

Residential Roof Repair

Most shingle roofs have these types of pipe boots to watertight bathroom and other pipes. Overtime, the rubber can dry rot, animals can eat away at it, or weather events can damage these pipe boots. A worn, split, or otherwise impaired pipe boot can cause a great deal of damage to your building. Having a roof issue like this repaired while it is still small can be the difference between a small cost and a detrimental cost.

Shingle Roof Repair

On this shingle roof in Virginia Beach, the original roofer had installed the shingles incorrectly around the combustion vents and plumbing stack vent. This caused a leak and the excessive and unnecessary application of caulking to stop the leak. We removed the existing shingles, the pipe boot for the plumbing stack pipe, reapplied the felt paper, and installed the shingles correctly. By taking the time and effort to fix the problem right, we eliminated the need for periodic repairs when the caulking failed and it started to leak again.
